April 17, 2018
When was the last time you complained of lower back pain? According to the American Chiropractic Association, 31 million Americans experience low-back pain at any given time. It is also the single leading cause of disability worldwide, according to the Global Burden of Disease 2010. You are not alone in your back pain. It is quite common, yet very disruptive to everyone’s life.
While back pain is very similar in location, and region of pain, it varies greatly in its severity. Back pain also varies greatly when it comes to what caused you to have back pain in the first place. Here are some common causes for lower back pain.
- Sprained ligaments
- Strained muscles
- Ruptured disks
- Irritated joints
- Sports injuries
- Poor posture
- Psychological Stress
- Internal organ diseases (kidney stones, infections, blood clots or bone loss)
If you experience lower back pain, there are things you can do to help prevent or lessen your pain. Maintaining healthy weight and proper posture will help.
