Work Conditioning
Work Conditioning addresses the physical and functional needs of the worker to enable timely return to work. The functional needs are simulated work activities. The injured worker will learn to perform job tasks in a safe manner and improve tolerance to repetitive activities.
Work Conditioning provides a middle step in the return to work process. This can be vital as the injured worker moves from acute care to return to work. This step can prevent re-injury in certain job settings.
Functional Capacity Evaluation
Functional Capacity Evaluation (
FCE) is a four-hour test that focuses on an injured working patient physical body and its functional movements to determine maximum safe abilities and limitations. The patient is observed under various stresses, to assess strength, endurance, coordination, pace, efficiency of movement, and safety while performing physical activities. Your Therapist will simulate real-life functional work activities.
Impairment Rating Calculations
Permanent Partial Disability (
PPD) Rating Calculations are performed according to the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Fifth Edition 2001.
