We challenge you to find a child with Down Syndrome who is not smiling. Down Syndrome children seem to wear a perpetual smile and know no stranger. Blowing kisses to everyone through the drive-thru window and hugging the people who bag your groceries are normal happenings in the lives of a family with a child suffering from Down Syndrome.
The truth of the matter is that Down Syndrome children are not always joyful. They have feelings like anyone else. They experience the full range of emotions.
