You’re pregnant! Congratulations. Having a baby is one the biggest miracles you will experience in your life. There’s noting more exhilarating knowing that you have a baby growing inside of you. It’s a beautiful thing. However, along with that growth happening in your womb, there is often pain associated with it. You are not alone in your pain. Most pregnant women experience back pain, usually starting in the second half of pregnancy.

We challenge you to find a child with Down Syndrome who is not smiling. Down Syndrome children seem to wear a perpetual smile and know no stranger. Blowing kisses to everyone through the drive-thru window and hugging the people who bag your groceries are normal happenings in the lives of a family with a child suffering from Down Syndrome.
The truth of the matter is that Down Syndrome children are not always joyful. They have feelings like anyone else. They experience the full range of emotions. They respond to positive expressions of friendship, and are hurt and upset by inconsiderate behavior. People with Down Syndrome socialize and have meaningful friendships. (more…)
