One stage of life that often is coupled with urinary incontinence is pregnancy. Your muscles in your bladder sphincter and pelvic floor become overwhelmed with the extra pressure that is being placed on your bladder.
Kegel exercises are a great way to improve the strength of your pelvic floor. These exercises require you to contract and relax your pelvic floor muscle. In order to do this you need to locate it. You can do this by stopping your urination midstream. The muscle required to do this is your pelvic floor muscle. Once you found the muscle, contract and hold it for five seconds then release for five seconds. Repeat this exercise ten times, 3 times a day for optimal results.
