Make the Most of Your Flexible Spending Account
November is the time of year when you begin to see more mail requesting end-of-year donations so you can take advantage of the tax credits. It is also the time of year when many individuals start checking their health insurance and flexible spending accounts. Those who do not check their benefits are at risk of leaving money on the table at the end of the year.
Schedule Appointments Now
The year will soon be over, and so will your opportunity to get the most out of your FSA. It is better to book your appointment now. Scheduling your appointments before the year is gone and before the available slots are taken may save you money.
People put off getting the physical therapy they need for various reasons. If your doctor has recommended it for you, it is to your benefit to participate. You may need it to improve movement, increase your range of motion, help you manage pain or strengthen or tone muscles that have been weakened due to injury or illness. Whatever the reason, you can benefit from taking advantage of your doctor’s recommendation and using the money in your FSA.
Use It or Lose It
It is important to keep your body in good shape regardless of your age. Muscles can weaken and atrophy with lack of use. Physical therapy helps maintain muscle health. Likewise, if you have an FSA and you neglect it, the end of the year will roll around and pass. Before you realize it, your opportunity for using the money in your account is gone.
If you, your spouse or child has been advised to get physical therapy and have yet to receive it, consider making your appointment now. Take advantage of the money you have set aside for health and get the recommended treatment.
The Sovereign Rehabilitation team is here to help you reach your optimum physical health. We encourage you to call us and schedule your appointment before the year’s end. “We make life feel better.” Let us show you how.
