Signs of a Pinched Nerve You May Have Missed

Category: Pinched Nerve

Sovereign-Logo-Facebook1Enduring a pinched nerve is uncomfortable to say the least.

They can occur at many different sites around the body – including the back and spine, wrist, and hips – and are the result of too much pressure being applied to the nerve by the surrounding bone, cartilage, muscle, or tendons. Anything from an injury to poor posture can trigger a pinched nerve.

Pain in the area of the pinched nerve is a pretty tell-tale sign of what you’re dealing with. But there are some other signs that you may have missed that can help you get to the bottom of your pain.

Keep an eye out for some of these lesser-known symptoms.

  • Pain radiating down the leg. A pinched nerve in the lower back often causes painful sensations down one or both of the legs
  • Numbness or tingling in the hands, or the site of the pinched nerve.
  • A pins and needles sensation.
  • Feeling as though your foot has fallen asleep.
